During the second edition of Paris+ par Art Basel VIP opening, SPIN.FASHION celebrated a new chapter for art, fashion, and culture with guests from luxury fashion houses, including Chanel, Hermes, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Galeries Lafayette, Celine, L’Oreal, Jean Paul Gaultier, Farfetch, and icons of culture,including Sarah Andelman, Bilal Hassani, Simon Nygard and Ilenia Toma.

From 18th to 22nd October, SPIN.FASHION joined forces with Paris+ par Art Basel to unveil the first 360° ‘Phygital’ art exhibition. Visitors were able to interact with physical art with their phones, via SPIN’s NFC chips that connect to the physical artworks, as well as exhibit them in immersive 3D, transforming the entire city of Paris into an augmented gallery experience. Parisian model and DJ Jeune Pouce inaugurated the VIP opening.

In alignment with the vision 'Renaissance 2.0: Past, Present, Future,' SPIN is proud to present Korean artist, Camelostrich, for his inaugural international exhibition outside of Asia. This partnership injects a fresh energy into Paris Art Week, ushering in a dynamic journey of phygital art re-living the childhood memories: Uniting the Past, Present, and Future through a series of multi-dimensional creations that transcend the boundaries from 2D to 3D and 3D to 2D, inviting visitors to an immersive storytelling of the artworks in extended reality (XR), powered by SPIN.

Beyond the traditional experience of viewing physical artworks, visitors had the unique opportunity to transform their surroundings. By utilizing their smartphones to scan SPIN’s NFC chips embedded within these artworks and QR codes on the windows, they could effortlessly exhibit the 3D digital counterparts in Augmented Reality (AR), create personal moment with the artwork to share on social media with friends, and transact phygital (physical+digital) or digital artworks on the same platform from any location.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Camelostrich
Kyungsuk Yeon, Seoul-based phygital artist, aka Camelostrich, delves into the realm of objects that evoke childhood nostalgia, specifically within the context of Shanghai. He uses his art to look back and reflect, exploring the distinctive facets of everyday life, re-living moments and memories using 3D technology. Camelostrich masterfully illustrates the limitless possibilities inherent in the design of virtual spaces that seamlessly interweave the past, present, and future.
