is the designer of Rumisu.
Was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey.
She lived in New York City for 6 years, where she studied fashion design at Pratt Institute, graduating in 2003, after which she worked in the industry with several independent high-end designers. In 2005 she returned to Istanbul, where she entered the "young fashion designers contest" of Turkey, organized by ITKIB & won the first prize. As her prize she received a scholarship for a masters degree in advanced fashion at Polimoda, Florence, Italy, where she earned her degree in 2007. She has designed for Yegi Nim; a boutique knitwear brand and retail project, and for Beymen Collection & Academia brands; Turkish high-end, luxury brands, as well as completing various free-lance textile and illustration projects, between the years of 2007-2012. She has opened a new chapter with "rumisu" in the summer of 2013 led by her passion for illustration & print, co-designing with her sister Pınar Yegin, creating a line of ethically manufactured luxury design accessories and ready to wear pieces, that also give back to their community of origin. With “rumisu” she aims to keep away from taking life too seriously and aims to seduce childlike souls of all ages and sexes.
