CFS 2020
03 - 04 October 2020
,
Grand Palais in #VirtualReality.

How does the CFS VR (Virtual Reality) Summit work?

The Oculus VR headsets included in the CFS tickets are the portal to a brand new networking experience, where you can safely meet and interact in real time with change makers from all over the world, wherever you are, within a fully reusable 360° interactive virtual space, in collaboration with AltspaceVR by Microsoft.

CFS2020 has collaborated with spacegrey™ to recreate the Grand Palais in virtual reality, in partnership with Chatillon Architectes. You will be able to enter the VR environment (Grand Palais!) through your VR headset and walk around with your 3D avatar from Main Stage to Impact Design Hub and Innovation Hub booths, listening to live panels and talks ‘in person’. Interacting, meeting and speaking with designers, innovators and cross industry change makers from all over the globe, from wherever you are in the world.

Do I need a VR headset to attend the Summit?

Yes, a VR headset is the only way to experience CFS 2020. It’s not possible to access the Summit on your computer or smart phone.

If I already have a VR headset, do I need to buy one with my CFS ticket?

No, it’s fine to use your own headset, but it needs to be compatible with AltSpaceVR. The suggested models are: Oculus Rift/ Quest/ GO or HTC VIVE. Please contact the CFS team to purchase tickets without the included VR headset.

Is it possible to rent a headset?

Yes, you can RENT or BORROW one from your friends :) Depending on the regions, please contact CFS team for more information.

How else can I use my VR headset in future?

You will have exclusive access to CFS special events all year round, happening in virtual reality. In a time when it’s not possible to travel internationally and gather in the same physical location, VR is an exciting solution for bringing our community together.

How does Virtual Reality work?

We fully understand that VR is a whole new experience for most of us, so we are hosting VR training sessions in September to get you accustomed to interacting with the virtual environment in AltspaceVR.
