is the Director of Education at Istituto Marangoni Milano - The School of Fashion.

 

Diana Marian Murek is a fashion designer and journalist of German origin who has been living and working nineteen in Italy since 20 years. Diana graduated in fashion design at AMD / Akademie Mode Design in Hamburg in 1997 and moved immediately after her studies to Milan, where she began her career at the Italian brand Costume National. In her career as fashion designer she worked for many fashion companies such as Wolford, Von Fürstenberg and Francesco Scognamiglio.

In 2003 Diana began to lecture at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan in the area of fashion design, expanding later to courses in fashion styling and fashion business. In 2009 Diana became the author of the blog Intothefashion.com , which found great success in the fashion world for its critical and educational format, and led Diana to a journalistic line of work through various publishing projects at Grazia.it, Redmilk Magazine, Flair and Missoni Moments.

In July 2015 Diana was appointed the Director of Education in the London School of Fashion, where she advised Istituto Marangoni London on setting and maintaining standards in the UK Higher Education system and where she has directed the validation of several courses.

Subsequently in 2017 she managed in the same position the start-up of the Mumbai School of Fashion & Design in India. After a one year stay in  Italy at the Firenze School of Fashion and Art, where she was able to apply her art acumen, she joined the Mumbai School as Director of Education bringing her international experience while enhancing the local tradition into the school’s programmes along with an innovative vision towards fashion.

In 2021 Diana moved to the most prestigious school of the network, the Milan School of Fashion, as Director of Education thus engaging in a new challenge within Istituto Marangoni Group.
