About Designer

Romina Cardillo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She grew up in the bosom of a textile family and discovered her passion for fashion working at the family business. Cardillo studied Fashion Design at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), where she achieved the first place at the “Art & object” award given by one the most emblematic argentine brands, Alpargatas.

In 2002, she started working at María Vazquez until 2007, where she launched her men's clothing brand project called “grupo 134”, the first vegan brand in Argentina. With Grupo 134, Romina made a collaboration for GreenPeace. At that time, Cardillo began to gain prestige and called the attention of one of the most renown Film Directors in Argentina, Pablo Trapero, he began directing and producing the brand contents. At that time, the designer had already become a referent on sustainability and turned into a spokesperson for ADA (Animal Rights Asociation) ngo and for the cooperative CEIBO. In 2014, Romina decided to begin a new brand project, NOUS ETUDIONS.

NOUS its not only a fashion brand, its a clear statement of the new generations: sustainability, genderless and veganism are part of the key messagge that Cardillo delivers in each product.

Impact Design in Materials · Process · Planet · People

The use of bio degradable materials and bio materials are the way forward. Redesigning society for me is to balance the value of ancient techniques with new technologies by giving value to respect for all living things.

Materials - Applying renewable, regenerative, or other circular materials, Process - Applying recycling, upcycling, rental or other circular business models, Planet - Implementing methods to neutralize carbon footprint, such as using renewable energies, non-toxic chemicals or carbon-neutral shipping, People - Empowering local or underprivileged communities, or traditional craftsmanship.
